Rev'd Jamee and Damian are expecting
Dear ones, it is a pleasure to be sharing the news with you that Damian and I are expecting a little one.
We are due in November and Baby and I are doing really well, just having moved into the 2nd trimester.
We are still working out what maternity leave will look like, but with the ministry of our active lay leaders and the support of the Cathedral pastoral team, I trust HHO will be well cared for, while I take some time out.
Please feel welcome to add us to your prayers, and here is one for expecting parents:
O Lord, giver of life, recieve our prayer for Damian and Jamee and the child they have concieved, that they may happily come to the time of birth, and serving you in all things may rejoice in your loving presence.
May this time of pregnancy be for Jamee and Damian months of drawing nearer to you and one another.
We pray for the midwives and all who will attend them through the pre and post natal journey, that they may have skill and attentiveness in their vocations.
Please bless this new child with the gift of your spirit as they come into the world and in time prepare for baptism into the communion we share.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
